Sending and resending quotes

Approving a quote emails the customer a personalised, secure link. Here's what happens next, and how to resend if the email gets lost.

What sending a quote does

When you tap Approve and send — from Telegram or the dashboard editor — TradesOps:

The email is written to land in the customer's Primary inbox rather than Promotions — plain wording, no big filled buttons, so it looks like a personal message.

What the customer sees

The customer opens the link and sees:

If they accept, TradesOps emails them an acceptance receipt, sends you a Telegram ping, and moves the quote to accepted. When the work is done, open the accepted quote in your dashboard and tap Convert to invoice to mint a draft invoice you can adjust and send.

Resending

If a customer says they never saw the email, or you want to nudge them a week later, open the quote and tap Resend to customer. TradesOps mints a fresh link (the old one becomes invalid so it can't be reused) and emails the customer a friendly note.

You can also edit the quote first — for example, if you promised them a small discount over the phone — and then resend. Every change is captured in the quote's activity feed so you have a record of what went out and when.

What if a quote expires?

Every quote has a Valid until date, set from your Settings default and adjustable per quote. After that date, the customer will still see the quote page but the Accept quote button is disabled. Open the quote in your dashboard, extend the validity date, and resend.
