Editing a draft quote before you send it
IntelliQuote drafts every quote from your dictated site-visit notes. You always get the final say before it reaches the customer.
When you reply to the Telegram "notes" prompt with the details of the job, IntelliQuote drafts the quote and posts a preview back to you in the chat. That preview has three buttons:
- ✅ Approve and send — sends it to the customer straight away.
- 🔄 Regenerate — the AI drafts a fresh version if the first one wasn't quite right.
- ✏️ Edit in dashboard — opens the full editor in your browser, where you can adjust anything.
If the numbers are close but not quite right, or the wording needs a tweak, tap Edit in dashboard.
What you can change
The editor at Dashboard → Quotes → the quote → Edit lets you adjust:
- Scope of work — what you're doing, in customer-friendly language.
- Labour — price and the description the customer sees.
- Materials — price and description; leave the materials line off entirely for labour-only jobs.
- Duration — how you'd like to describe the length ("half a day", "about a week").
- Assumptions and exclusions — sensible defaults come from your Settings, and you can add or remove per quote.
- Payment schedule — deposit, interim, final, or a single payment on completion. The percentages must sum to 100.
- Valid until — how long the customer has to accept before you'd want a fresh quote.
Totals (VAT, subtotal, total) recalculate as you change labour and materials. The payment schedule rescales automatically so it always matches the new total.
Sending it
When it looks right, hit Approve and send. TradesOps emails the customer a personalised link to the quote page, where they can review the scope, assumptions and exclusions, and hit Accept quote. You get a Telegram ping the moment they do.
Changing your mind after it's sent
Even after a quote has gone out, you can still edit it and resend from the same page. TradesOps mints a new customer link so the old one becomes invalid. Use the Resend to customer action to email them the updated version.
