Pairing your Telegram

How to link the TradesOps bot to your Telegram so every enquiry pings your phone.

TradesOps runs everything through @tradesops_admin_bot on Telegram. Once paired, you'll get:

Step 1 — Open your dashboard

Open Settings → Telegram in your TradesOps dashboard. You'll see a Pair Telegram button (or a "Not linked" status if you haven't done it yet).

Step 2 — Tap the link on your phone

Click Pair Telegram. TradesOps opens a Telegram link on your phone that starts a conversation with @tradesops_admin_bot. Tap Start in Telegram — the bot confirms pairing and sends you a short welcome message.

Step 3 — Confirm on the dashboard

Come back to Settings → Telegram. The status should now show Linked with your Telegram username. If it still shows Not linked, refresh the page or try the pairing link again — the link expires after 60 minutes.

What if I want to switch to a different Telegram account?

Same page — hit Unpair, then start the pairing flow again from your new Telegram. Only one Telegram account can be linked to a business at a time.

What about Telegram groups?

The bot works with your personal Telegram chat only. Group support is on the roadmap for teams — email help@tradesops.uk if that's important to you.

What if I don't want to use Telegram?

You don't have to. Every action the Telegram bot takes has an equivalent button in the desktop dashboard — enquiry approve/decline, booking confirm, site-visit notes textarea, job-date setter, invoice raise and mark-paid. See Full desktop parity.

Telegram is the fastest way to work when you're not near a computer. If you're mostly office-based or you just prefer the desktop, ignore the pairing step entirely.
