Sharing your public enquiry link
How to share your TradesOps enquiry link so new customer enquiries land straight in your dashboard, ready for you to approve.
Every trader has a public enquiry page at:
https://tradesops.uk/b/your-business-slug/enquire
Your exact URL sits at the bottom of your dashboard once you've saved your business profile.
What the customer sees
- Your business name at the top.
- A short form: name, email, postcode, "what do you need doing?".
- A Send enquiry button.
That's it. No signup, no login, no distractions. The form is designed for the customer who's found you on Google and wants a quote today.
What happens when they submit
- The submission lands in your TradesOps as a new enquiry.
- Anthropic Claude reads the raw message and extracts a job summary, urgency estimate, and whether a site visit is recommended.
- You get a Telegram ping (if paired) OR the enquiry appears at the top of
/dashboard/enquiries. - You tap Approve to send the customer a branded email with a link to pick a quote-visit slot, or Decline to close the enquiry without any customer contact.
Where to put the link
- Your website — as a button ("Get a quote") or a link at the top of your contact page.
- Google Business Profile — the "Website" field on your Google listing.
- Facebook / Instagram / TikTok bio — as a shortened link.
- Your email signature — helps close the loop for anyone who emails you first.
- On flyers, van livery, business cards — a shortened redirect works well here (
tradesops.uk/b/your-slug/enquireis already short, but you could use a QR code).
Can I change my slug?
The slug is generated from your business name when you first save your profile. If you rename the business later, TradesOps keeps the original slug so existing links don't break. If you specifically want to change the slug, email help@tradesops.uk and we'll do it.
How is it protected against spam?
- Rate-limiting per IP address — a single visitor can only submit a few enquiries in a short window.
- A hidden honeypot field — invisible to real humans, but obvious to spam bots. Enquiries with a filled honeypot are dropped before they reach you.
- AI extraction — nonsensical or spam messages tend to come back with
job_type: "unknown"and no useful summary, which makes them easy to Decline.
